We want to help you take charge of your electricity costs, and give you options that make life easier for you. That's why we've designed Advantage Power Pricing (APP), a new trial electricity pricing program that empowers customers to save on energy costs.
Participating customers picked the program that fits their lifestyle, and they can reduce their costs — without sacrificing their comfort. APP program participants are part of a community that is helping to reduce the production of carbon-intensive electricity — it's a win for them and for the environment!
Originally launched May 1, 2015, the Advantage Power Pricing program has been extended to run until March 31, 2019 with new options and features. It is a voluntary program, and customers can end their participation at any time by contacting our Customer Care Centre at 1-844-952-5291.

With a convenient schedule that lets you reduce costs, APP-Dynamic features an On-peak period from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a variable rate, and lower Off-peak rates than standard Time-of-Use pricing. A Critical Peak price period occurs for up to four hours on the six days with the highest demand in each of the summer and winter seasons.
Advantage Power Pricing - Dynamic: Weekday price schedule
Ideal if you're a shift worker or have an electric vehicle, APP-Overnight gives you a window (12:00 a.m. - 6:00 a.m.) with an extra low rate for electricity. On-peak rates are slightly higher to compensate for this discount.

This is one of a series of pilots under way across Ontario led by the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) whose mandate is to promote a sustainable and efficient energy sector that provides consumers with reliable energy services at a reasonable cost. With the participation of utilities and their customers, the OEB’s goal with these pilots is to test different electricity price plans designed to give greater consumer control and help Ontario’s power system run more efficiently.
