The Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) was created to help individuals and/or families who are struggling to pay their hydro bills through out the year.

The program provides a one-time financial assistance grant of up to a maximum of $500 per year. This grant is available to low-income and or special circumstance residents’ who qualify and meet program criteria and whose PowerStream account is in arrears or is faced with the threat of disconnection.

LEAP is delivered within PowerStream’s service territory through assigned social service agencies. PowerStream customers, who are in need of assistance or would like additional information, should call one of the following telephone numbers:
